Put a little vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz everywhere you still see baking soda residue in your oven. Do a final wipe down to help remove the oven grease and repeat until all the residue is gone.
Best way to clean a fan assisted Oven using baking soda and water. Wipe your fan-assisted oven with a clean paper towel ensuring all excess dirty grease and grime is removed. Leave your cleaning paste on your oven for between 1 and 2 hours to allow it to break down, burnt-on grease and baked-on dirt.
Spray a generous amount of WD-40 Specialist Degreaser on the kitchen hood surface, let sit for 2 minutes. Wipe away the residue on the surface with a microfibre cloth and see it shine.
All you need is white vinegar and a little salt or baking soda, and you can wash your pan as usual with soap and scrubber.
Give the oven an initial wipe down, removing any residue. Make a paste with 3 parts baking soda to 1 part warm water. Cover the interior of the oven with the paste and leave it to soak for at least an hour (overnight works best). Once left to soak, clean away the paste with a damp cloth.
Can I just steam clean my fan-assisted oven? There’s nothing wrong with steam cleaning ovens, but you should be careful when you do it. Steam is very good at removing grease and burnt food from ovens. But you must still wipe the excess dirt away!
