Pan size Unless you have a residential oven in your rig, your propane RV oven should fit a 10 X 15 inch cookie sheet or a 9 X 13 baking dish with plenty of room on the sides. Of course, check your size so you know for sure and make sure there is some space around the pan on each side.
Dometic is headquartered in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden.
If air enters the fuel line running to the oven, this can prevent lighting. An easy fix is to simply open a stovetop burner and allow some propane to escape. The line for the oven and burners will be joined, so any air should be expelled.
Propane ovens require an ignited flame to heat the interior. This heat source is usually below a metal plate in the oven’s bottom that helps dissipate the heat upwards. Many RV ovens require manual lighting. Once lit, it may take about ten minutes to preheat.
It allows the appliance to be used for a wider variety of cooking methods and achieve better results with baking, roasting, grilling and defrosting. Certain models now have a 3d cooking feature. This feature is where all the elements are used to speed up the cooking time and allow the food to be cooked evenly, faster.
RV stoves use relatively little propane. On average, a gallon of propane approximates 92,000 BTU. And the average RV stove has 1 main burner that is 9000 BTUs, with 2 adjacent burners that are 6500 BTUs. Even with all 3 burners used daily, it would still take months for the average RV to need a refill.
You can use the oven in your RV while driving as long as you have an external generator to power your kitchen. With that being said, you should never use the propane hookup for your RV while you’re driving, though. Doing so can be extremely dangerous, so it’s best to save any propane-powered cooking for the campsite.

Dometic have owned Waeco for many years trading as two different brands, but in 2017 the decision was made to combine the brands to become the globally recognised brand that they are.
Name. The origin of the name Thetford is unclear. The site was an important crossing of the River Little Ouse, so one possibility is that the settlement drew its name from the Anglo-Saxon Theodford or people’s ford. It is also unclear if the nearby River Thet is named after the crossing or the later settlement.
The usual cause for the oven failing to stay lit is that the thermocouple which keeps the flame alight (the little black spike by the burner) can be missed by the pilot flame and therefore does not get hot enough to work. Alternatively, the thermocouple or valve maybe faulty.
Both Dometic and Thetford have sizes ranging from 90 litres to 224 litres, though Dometic boasts the greater range overall. However, Thetford offers a popular slimline model which is only 418mm wide (compared to a standard 525mm width) but has a substantial 140-litre fridge and a 15-litre freezer.
While RV ovens are known for their uneven baking, the simple secret to improving their efficiency is a pizza stone. Place a pizza stone on the bottom shelf of the oven (directly over the heat source, not on the actual bottom of the oven as in the photo above).
Thetford was one of the largest and most influential towns in early medieval England, and at one time boasted 20 churches. Within the town is Thetford Castle, the tallest medieval earthwork in England, though the Norman timber castle that once surmounted the mound has disappeared.
