Half fill a large, oven-safe bowl or pot with water and half a cup of vinegar. Begin the oven steam cleaning process. Place the pot in your oven and leave for between 20 and 60 minutes, allowing the steam to loosen grease and dirt from the oven walls, floor and ceiling. Turn off your oven.
Do not use oven cleaners with Steam Clean. Use the Steam Clean feature as soon as possible after spills occur. The longer you wait the more difficult it may be to remove. Always allow the oven to cool before using the Steam Clean feature.
A combi oven is a three-in-one oven which allows you to cook with steam, hot air (convection) or a combination of both. As an alternative to using a separate steamer or convection oven, a combi can be used to replace both appliances saving time, space and money when it comes to professional food preparation.
The true benefit of a combi oven is it controls the humidity inside its chamber, maintaining exactly the desired atmosphere, reducing shrinkage and weight loss while also improving cook times and results.
If your oven has no steam-clean function but you have a steam cleaner, you can use the device on your oven’s glass, metal, and enamel, employing the brush or scraper attachment on grease and baked-on crud. Just remember that steam is hot!
Set your oven to 450 degrees for 20 to 60 minutes to loosen dirt and grease with the steam. Once your oven is cool, wipe off the condensation and the grease will come with it. If stubborn spots persist, scrub with a paste of baking soda and lemon or vinegar.
Remove food residue and drippings from the tray and outflow in the oven chamber. Spray an OEM recommended cleaning agent on the tray and outflow. Once it has taken effect, rinse thoroughly with a hand shower. Remove white water deposits from the inside of the oven chamber with vinegar and a soft cloth.
Press the Start/Stop key. Choose a Mode. Press the Oven Temperature key; adjust temperature with arrow keys. Press the Probe Temperature key; adjust temperature using the arrow keys.
Since Steam Clean doesn’t involve chemicals or high heat, you can actually leave the racks inside. You don’t even have to lock the door! First wipe away any excess grease and soils from the cool oven.
Cleaning: Many modern combination ovens have a self-cleaning cycle which leaves the unit sparkling clean after use (models without usually have self-cleaning as an optional extra).
A commercial combi oven uses three cooking methods in one appliance. 1) Convection cooking – Circulates heat throughout the cooking cavity for quick and even cooking. 2) Steaming – Uses water and heat to create steam, which retains food’s natural texture and flavours.
Place a tablespoon or two of vinegar or a lemon (cut into slices or halves) in a small bowl of water. Place the bowl in the microwave and run it on high for three minutes, or until the water is boiling. Leave the door closed for five minutes to let the steam loosen the residue.
