JennAir is the top luxury brand of Whirlpool Corporation and one of the best brands in the industry. Their catalog of appliances has models with excellent designs, good performance, and exceptional reliability. Is JennAir a luxury brand? JennAir manufactures high-end products and at premium prices.
JennAir is the premier luxury brand owned by the Whirlpool Corporation. The JennAir product lineup is known for its modern design aesthetic and professional style performance.
KitchenAid may have started with small appliances, but today, the brand counts on a premium line of kitchen appliances worthy of being called luxury. But just because KitchenAid is high-end doesn’t mean you have to pay full price to enjoy a kitchen full of its products.
Whirlpool chose this week’s Architectural Digest Design Show, running now through Sunday at Piers 92 and 94 in NYC, to introduce its new JennAir branding along with a full line of 70 appliances that express the new image.
Originally founded in Indianapolis, Indiana, JennAir is now owned by Whirlpool Corporation, which is headquartered in Benton Harbor, Michigan. JennAir appliances for the American market are manufactured in plants located throughout North America.
Today, Whirlpool Corporation owns the Jenn-Air, Maytag, Amana, Roper, and KitchenAid brands.
Today, Whirlpool Corporation owns the Jenn-Air, Maytag, Amana, Roper, and KitchenAid brands.
Acquired as part of the Maytag Corporation acquisition in 2006, the Jenn-Air brand now represents the super-premium segment of the Whirlpool Corporation brand portfolio. Jenn-Air brand transforms consumers’ cooking spaces into luxury kitchens.
Steam ovens are larger appliances that are installed in a wall cabinet, so they are very different from air fryers. Steam ovens use similar convection cooking methods, but air fryers are designed to circulate hot air in a smaller appliance, while steam ovens circulate hot steam within a larger area.

Most steam ovens work by siphoning water from a small water tank into a built-in boiler, heating it to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, and releasing the steam into the oven. This superheated steam is just as effective at cooking your food through as the circulated hot air that makes convection work, and is often even faster.
Although KitchenAid and JennAir both fall under the Whirlpool Corporation umbrella, there are a few subtle differences between them. JennAir tends to be more expensive but also comes with more features and better performance.
Set your timer: With steam ovens, simply place your food on a sheet pan or baking pan inside the oven cavity, set the timer, touch start, and watch as your food cooks itself. There’s no need to keep an eye on things (as with stovetop cooking) or worry you’ll forget to turn the heat off (as with a conventional oven).
Clearly, Monogram outperforms both Wolf and JennAir range models with a whopping 23K BTUs of firepower. However, the brand also only manufactures all-gas and dual fuel ranges.
Age: Again, ovens usually last about 15 20 years, so if yours is around that age or older than it is probably time to replace it. It isn’t likely to last long before it needs another repair, so it’s better to just get a new one.
