How do I know if my oven is fan forced?
Hob / cooker displays message H. It usually indicates a residual heat in the cooking zone.
The difference between a conventional or static setting and a fan-forced setting is: a conventional setting uses the heating elements in the top and base of your oven with no fan while a fan-forced setting uses the fan at the back of your oven plus the heating element around it.
1) Error code F15 on the oven panel may indicate that the oven controller is not receiving a timing signal from the relay board. An easy way to determine this is to turn off the device, turn it on and start the timer for one person before the F15 error law appears.
– If you are getting an F23 or F24 error code it means the display board is not able to communicate with the Convection Fan and Oven Lights Control Board, thus the convection fan will not operate. Check connections between the display board and the Convection Fan and Oven Lights Control Board.
Look for static symbols and indicators on the oven’s LCD screen and control panel. Modern displays might show the full word as “Preheating” or abbreviate it down to “PrE.” When these visual indicators disappear, your oven is preheated and ready for baking. Other ovens use lights to show the preheat cycle.
Two horizontal lines – one on top and one on the bottom is the oven symbol everyone has seen at some point. This is the most recognizable oven icon. It indicates the traditional baking methods – using top and bottom heaters.
Fan forced A fan symbol with a circle around it means the fan will be on with its own heating element. The top and bottom elements won’t be activated. This function will distribute heat evenly in good ovens and allow food to cook food faster and at a lower temperature.
1. Fan oven. A fan in a circle represents an oven that uses a fan to distribute heat generated from a circular element that surrounds the fan. Ideally, the heat distribution should be even, so that it doesn’t matter where the food is placed in the oven, it cooks perfectly every time.
You needn’t turn the oven on to find out if it’s fan-equipped, however there should be a little fan symbol on the outside: a three-pronged fan for a fan assisted oven, and a three-pronged fan inside a circle for a fan oven.
