How does a microwave oven combination work?

Combination microwaves use microwave energy, much like a traditional microwave does, but combined with the added benefits of fanned hot air, making grilling, roasting and baking easier and quicker than before with convection hot air giving that perfect roasted finish.

If the Microwave is overheating and shutting itself down, this is caused by high voltage parts inside the unit getting too hot the leading the thermal cut-out switch to be activated as a safe feature to prevent further overheating.

This high voltage powers the magnetron to heat the food. If the diode burns out, the magnetron won’t receive enough voltage to operate, preventing the microwave from heating. When the diode fails, it is often visibly burned out. Inspect the diode and if the diode is burned out, replace it.
