Unlike a shiny interior that reflects rays to a dark pot, a blue interior helps retain more heat around the pan. A blue interior will also allow you to clearly see your food when you peek through the oven window.
Thank you for your email regarding Easy-Off Fume Free Oven Cleaner. In response to your inquiry, it is possible that using our oven cleaners on a microwave or convection oven could affect the surface of the oven; you may experience white or grey discoloration of the surface.
When a range model has a self-cleaning cycle, it is usually denoted on the control panel and in the product manual, but it also has a locking handle on the oven door. If you’re not sure if your oven has such a feature and there’s no locking handle, your oven does not have this feature and you must clean it manually.
For best results, make a thin paste of 3/4 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup warm water. Remove oven racks, then coat the inside with the paste and leave it on overnight. In the morning, scrape off the paste, wipe out the oven with a damp towel and voilaa pristine oven.
Press AQUALIFT SELF CLEAN and then START on the oven control panel. Allow 40 minutes for cleaning and cool down. A beep will sound when the Clean cycle is complete.
After a self-cleaning cycle, the oven should open once it has completely cooled. Depending on the age and make of your oven, this can take anywhere from 30-90 minutes. In most cases, if your oven has an automatic lock, then it will also automatically unlock itself once the self-cleaning is finished.

In a small bowl, combine a half cup or a full cup of baking soda with just enough water to form a thick, shaving-cream-like paste. Spread the paste evenly over the oven glass, adding a bit more water for even coverage, if necessary. Let sit for at least 15 minutes.
Mix together 1/2 cup warm water, 1/2 cup vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Dampen a cloth in the mixture and wipe down the inside of the toaster oven. Take care not to damage the heating element of the toaster oven. Lift it up (or remove, following manufacturer instructions) to wipe below it.
If Your Oven Has a Steam-Clean Setting: Steam cleaning is generally intended for routine maintenance, with the self-cleaning mode (called pyrolytic cleaning, which uses very high heat to turn residue into ash) for tougher stuff. Steam cleaning is much quicker and, because it uses lower heat, a safer alternative.
Before an oven is used for the first time, the oven interior should be cleaned and a burn-in may be required. Wolf recommends discarding any food that is cooked in the oven before the first use / burn-in process is completed. Oven racks can stay inside the oven during this burn-in.
