How do you know if your convection oven is malfunctioning? The most common sign that your convection oven isn’t working properly is that the fan is not spinning correctly or at all. If your oven isn’t heating properly or is taking much longer than usual to get hot, this could all point to a malfunctioning fan.
Store Mode (sometimes it’s called a Retail Mode or Store Demo Mode) is a special mode that’s used if the TV stands in a retail store that has a showroom. In short, it’s used when the TV is used to display its best qualities for everyone to see.
Baking with convection yields a rounded, taller cookie with a crisp exterior. Even heat created by the air circulating in convection yields the irresistible combination of crunchy and gooey and some say it’s the secret to the perfect cookie. But, if you prefer a softer, chewy cookie, use Bake mode without convection.
In Pizza mode, heat from the upper and lower elements is circulated throughout the oven by the convection fan.
The demo mode will enable you to experiment setting various programs (the letter D will always appear in the display window which confirms that there is no microwave power produced and it is safe to use the oven without any food). To select this mode press the Micro Power pad once and then Stop/Cancel 4 times.
IMPORTANT: This feature is intended for use on the sales floor with 120 V power connection and permits the control features to be demonstrated without the oven turning on. If this feature is activated, the oven will not work.
Convection Bake Mode Convection Bake is similar to Bake. Heat comes from the upper and lower heating elements. The main difference in convection baking is that the heat is circulated throughout the oven by the convection fan.
Conventional ovens feature heating elements on the top and bottom of the oven cavity. Convection ovens have these elements in addition to a fan that helps circulate hot air throughout the oven cavity. This can help dishes placed on different racks bake at a similar rate.
The convection fan will typically operate during all convection cooking modes. The convection fan as well as the heating elements will shut off when the oven door is opened and turn back on when the door is closed.
