How does the grill in a microwave work?

The grill plate works by taking in energy from the microwave to heat the grill so that it’s hot enough to properly cook food. Because of this, it can sear, brown and grill different foods giving you more versatility than a regular microwave oven.

Open the microwave’s door, and place the food on the grill rack. Close the door, and then press the Microwave+Grill button. Press the left or right arrows to set the desired cooking time. The maximum cooking time is 60 minutes.

Convection is the movement of air or some other medium, initiating transfer of heat between two bodies of different temperatures. The grill methods uses one or more heaters directly heating the food.
