Zanussi (Italian: [dzanus. si]) is an Italian producer of home appliances that was bought by Electrolux in 1984.
In 1916, the enterprising young Antonio Zanussi began making stoves in North East Italy, and soon developed a range of inventive products. Zanussi has since played a pioneering role in household appliances.
The classic German brand AEG is today one of the most important within the Electrolux Group, which offers premium AEG appliances in various European and Asian markets.
Zanussi was purchased by Swedish multinational Electrolux in 1984. During the early ’90s, Electrolux combined all its UK brands into a single service entity. However, the entity was still split based on regions between local Electrolux service centres and Zanussi service agents.
The appliance is fit for many culinary applications, including baking, roasting, grilling, steaming, braising, blanching and poaching. Combi steamers expand upon standard convection ovens in that they also generate steam or a combination of steam and superheated steam.
Zanussi and AEG (also John Lewis brand) are made by the same manufacturer so there really shouldn’t be much of a difference. Zanussi are part of the aeg Electrolux group.
