Gas ovens that contain the heating unit in the bottom may offer the space as a broiling drawer. This is often a very narrow space that functions as a broiler and fits shallow baking sheets, dishes, or pans. It’s ideal for browning the tops of casseroles, caramelizing chicken skin, or even roasting vegetables.
When deciding where to put your warming drawer, keep in mind that they are electric and do not need special venting, but they will require adequate electrical service. If you do not have space in your kitchen for a built-in warming drawer, select a range that has a warming drawer underneath the oven.

To use the warming drawer, press the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Slide the moisture selector control to the open or closed setting. (See the Moisture Selector section.) Turn the control knob clockwise to the desired setting.
A proving or warming drawer is essentially a drawer which can be heated to very low temperatures, models typically come with temperature controls ranging from 30C to 80C.
